Day 7
We woke up early to be packed and ready to go by 7:30am.  We had done extra miles the previous day to get to our destination as early as possible.  Our destination was a cabin owned by a friend of Ava's, and Ava was meeting us there with tasty treats and a few adult beverages.  And also we'd have, hopefully, the whole afternoon to relax.

First we had to stop and get coffee for Leslie and Kenny at the corner store.  Also, I had to use the facilities.

we were trying to figure out where to camp
We were in a rush to relax and honestly, the walk wasn't anything to write home about (or blog about).  It was some walking, first on the road, then we went onto the Speyside Way for a mile or so, then the road through Nethy Bridge where we stopped at another corner store for ice cream.  We ran into Ava who was in town buying supplies for our night at the cabin.  After a too-long break, again, we headed out of town and down some more road to the turn off for Mossbank, where Ava was waiting for us (so we didn't have to walk an extra 3/4 mile to the cabin.  We continued from the point where we entered her vehicle the next morning, so we did not cross west to east across Scotland by any method other than by foot). We were informed by Ava that the trip from Nethy Bridge to Mossbank was much quicker by car.

A farmer putting up fence - If you ever wondered how it is done...
HERE IT IS, FOLKS!  A spool of fencing goes on the
front of the tractor and then he drives along,
then goes back and nails the fence to the posts -- MAGIC!

Our destination.  Well, not the rock, but the cabin down the road

We reached our destination at 11:30am, exactly the time we'd told Ava to meet us.  She drove us to the cabin where we had showers and then had a nice lunch of cheese and crackers that Ava picked up.  Then there was all sorts of blister popping going on and some laundry.  Then we went into Nethy Bridge for a drink at the bar.

Me, relaxing.  Or whatever that face means I'm doing.
We went to the corner store once again for some candy before heading back to the cabin for a relaxing evening.  Ava had prepared a great dinner of neeps and tatties.  It was excellent, and a lot of food.
