***If you don't know what the Great Outdoors Challenge (TGO or TGOC from here on) is all about, check out this link.***
For the Challenge this year I would be joined by Leslie, who had to withdraw on day 4 of the challenge last year due to some knee issues, and Kenny and Ava, who I hiked a good portion of my 2016 crossing with.
Leslie and I flew out of Palm Beach International Airport at 2:30pm on May 9th, and had a brief stop over in Philadelphia where we had just enough time to get a genuine Philly Cheesesteak.

Philly Cheesesteak and beer in Philadelphia |
From Philly it was a 6 hour and 30 minute flight to Glasgow. The flight was pretty uneventful, I even managed a couple hours of sleep. We arrived at 7am (2am Eastern Standard Time) so we lost almost our entire night of sleep.
At the Glasgow Airport with our resupply packages |
We took a bus into the city center and did our town chores (buying fuel and mailing resupply packages) before catching our train to Inverness. 3 hours later we arrived in Inverness. We checked into our hotel, napped a bit and walked around town while waiting for Kenny and Ava to arrive at 9pm.

First drinks! |
Once Ava and Kenny arrived we had a brief meeting in the restaurant next to the hotel and then went to bed as we were all exhausted and had to catch an 8:55 train to get to our starting point, Strathcarron.
LOVE the photos and "tagging along in the journey"
